RIP Prince

The multi talented Artist Rogers Nelson better known as Prince died on Thursday April 21, 2016.  Prince was 57. The cause of death has not yet been released. When I first saw the headline about his death, I thought it was fake.  I was saddened to discover that the headline was in fact real.  I will truly miss Prince. Prince had a very unique sound, and style. When most people mention songs recorded by Prince, they start with Purple Rain.  When I think of Prince the first songs that come to my mind are the songs from the early years of his career when I was a child.  I love songs like "International Lover", and "Do Me Baby."  Today I am remembering Prince's fashion and style as well as his music. I have posted some pictures down below to remind us all about his incredible style.

Prince was stylish all the way down to his quitar.

Prince not only gave us great music and great fashion, but he also always gave great hair.  Prince was always ahead of the trend.

RIP Prince I love you for all of the great music you provided, and the great memories in my life that included your music.

Check out the video below so you can feel the magic Prince created when he performed live at the 2007 Super Bowl.

Whatever You Ask For You Shall Have

Mark Chapter 11 Verse 24. - All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye have received them; and ye shall have them. But you must "ask in faith, nothing wavering."

Happy Sunday! I wish for you a wonderful and prosperous week.

He Is Risen Happy Easter

Matthew 28:1-10
Jesus Is Risen!
1Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to look at the grave. 2And behold, a severe earthquake had occurred, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled away the stone and sat upon it. 3And his appearance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. 4The guards shook for fear of him and became like dead men. 5The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified. 6He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. 7“Go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead; and behold, He is going ahead of you into Galilee, there you will see Him; behold, I have told you.”
8And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy and ran to report it to His disciples. 9And behold, Jesus met them and greeted them. And they came up and took hold of His feet and worshiped Him. 10Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid; go and take word to My brethren to leave for Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

Happy Easter!

Blonde Hair For Spring

As spring approaches many women begin to contemplate their change of hairstyle and makeup for the warm months.  Lighter colored hair and brighter makeup is most often the trend for spring and summer.  I will be changing my hair for the new season.  I am considering coloring my hair some shade of blonde.  I know that there are some who believe that blonde hair should not be worn by dark skinned women, or anyone who is not Caucasian.  I don't believe that to be the truth, I think that there is a shade of blonde for all women.  I think the problem comes when women select the wrong shade of blonde for their skin tone.  I have seen Caucasian women as well as lighter skinned African Americans with shades of blode that did not work well with their skin tone.
Then we have the people who say that African American women wear blonde hair because the want to be White.  I am a dark skinned African American woman, there is no confusion about by race.  If I select to dye my hair blonde, and you look at me and do not know that I am Black, you have a problem, not me.  I do want to select the best shade of bonde for my skin tone so I have been researching to see what I think will work best for me.
I have added some pictures below for anyone who may also be considering going blonde.  I have posted women of different races and skin tones wearing different shades of blonde.  It's only right that I post Nene Leakes' picture first since she had black women everywhere trying blonde hair for the first time.  The women didn't always get the shade of bonde right, but neither does Nene.
It's only hair. You can change it at anytime, so why not have fun with it.

@neneleakes

This is the shade of blonde I will most likely be selecting. @beautybyjj and I are about the same skin tone, and I really like her hair in this picture.
